The
NWI Contractors Association is a trade association of construction companies working in the commercial, industrial, heavy and highway, public works and institutional construction markets in
Northwest Indiana . All contractor members of the Association employ craftsmen from various building trade unions in
Northwest Indiana .
The
NWI Contractors Association also has within its membership associate firms that work closely with the region’s contractors in the region.
The
NWI Contractors Association negotiates labor agreements with seven building trades crafts in
Northwest Indiana .

The labor contractors negotiated by the Association are utilized by over 500 contractors working in the
Northwest Indiana region.
The Association also appoints trustees to the pension; health and welfare, and apprenticeship funds for the unions with which it negotiates. In addition, the Association appoints management representatives to grievance panels to hear and rule on grievances filed under the contracts the Association negotiates. And, the Association appoints the members of the Board of the Construction Advancement Foundation of Northwest Indiana.
The Association holds meetings monthly on the third Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. During these meetings the members discuss a wide variety of issues important to the construction industry of
Northwest Indiana . Many of these issues relate to labor relations matters.
